Tuesday 7th June 2011

Time is flying by now - GDQ School closes on Friday,10th and I am due to fly back to the UK on Saturday,18th June. At school (and at home until about midnight!) I am busy with writing reports, writing and organising a skit for this Friday, preparing for transition back to the UK, saying goodbye to friends and colleagues, leaving resources for other teachers, making an inventory of my room at school, Activity Week and....oh yes, packing up the flat which has been my home for the past year! Apart from that life is great!

I was glad of the opportunity to have 27 hrs 'off' at the w/end when I went with 3 friends to Vlore-by-the-sea.There is now a brand new dual carriageway for a few miles and a sign saying that 'NO DONKEY CARTS, PEDESTRIANS OR BICYCLES' are allowed. Not only did we see all three but we actually saw all three going the wrong way down the road!! Oh well, this is Albania!

Please join me in praise and petition:

Praise for God's goodness and protection during the last 2 years. For the work of GDQ and Miracle Club (which reaches out to local Albanian youngsters). For the work of Way of Hope Baptist church and its outreach programme. For all my colleagues and friends here in Albania - they are such a blessing!

Petition that all the packing, leaving and journeying will go well. That I will be able to complete everything that needs to be done. That my 'debriefing interview' next week will be a positive experience - and not leave me a sobbing wreck! That I will soon settle back into life in the UK - but not forget to ask for God's continuing guidance.

I look forward to seeing you all again - and meeting those friends I don't know yet. Zoti ju bekofte, Margaret
