New to Church?

Welcome! Whether you’ve just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

  • Our Church meets every Sunday at 10:30am and 6:30pm for our Sunday Service. You may wish to aim to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking spot on the road outside or in North Street Car Park and seat in time for the service to start.

    We meet at:

    Rugby Baptist Church,

    Regent Place,

    Rugby

You can see a map on our Contact Us page.

  • You will receive a warm welcome from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.

Our Sunday morning services combine an informal style with strong Bible-based teaching. For the first 30 minutes or so you can expect to have the opportunity to sing a few songs, hear a passage from the Bible, possibly with a reflection or simple story suitable for all ages and a short time of prayer. After the children go out to their own groups there will be a preach from one of our ministers or someone else. When the children come back in there will be some notices and more worship.

Evening services are smaller, quieter and more intimate.

  • We want everyone to be able to share in our worship service. There is wheelchair access into the church, as well as accessible toilets, an induction loop for the hard of hearing and we provide large print song sheets for the visually impaired.

There is some free on-street parking right in front of the church, and a ramp access to our main door. The only two-storey part of our buildings has a lift for those in wheelchairs or who cannot manage stairs.

  • No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

  • Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

  • No. As a Baptist church, we recognise that the members are responsible for financing the church's work. At some point in the service a collection bag will be passed around and anyone is free to contribute if they wish - but if they don't want to, that's fine. By the way, don't be surprised if a lot of people don't put anything into the bag - many members make their contribution through their bank.

The money collected is used to pay for the work that the church carries out, its minister, the running costs, and so on. But it's not all about us - each year we give away a lot of the money collected to fund other Christian mission work - locally, nationally and internationally.

  • Rugby Baptist Church is unable to provide parking for anyone using the church. Parking is available on the street up to 2 hours (payment at machines or via RingGo); free on Sundays.

The nearest carpark is located on North Street or at John Barford Multi Storey CV21 2SL (See Rugby Car Parks for details)
